  • Would this be an appropriate way to write it?

    To Number [insert number here]

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Also, thank you for your custom at [insert newsagents here]!

    From,
    Will (your weekend paper boy)

How many have you got to write?
I’d go with something much simpler (and shorter) like “Merry Christmas from Will (weekend paper boy)”

No point putting “ To Number [insert number here]” IMO, they’ll know it’s for them because you’ll put it through their letterbox!

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

  • I also wouldn't thank them on behalf of the newsagents!
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • No, me neither! They might take their tips there!

That happened to me one year. First year of doing the round I walked away with over £100 in tip money - back in 78 that was BIG money

Following year, the newsagents asked for tips to be paid at the shop, we all got £10 each :(

I passed my round on to my sister and got a Saturday job :)
  • Thank you all for the helpful replies! I didn't think about customers taking tips to the newsagent but realise now what could've happened to my Christmas tips so thanks again. I will just write:
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
    From Will (your weekend paperboy)
  • Also, I deliver around 30 papers.

Make sure that you deliver them this weekend - but be prepared that people may miss the 'wekend' part so you may not get much as people may just leave a tip at some point in the week!
All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)

    It works. Don't knock it.

I did not "knock it"; try reading my post again: The "Well done" is the giveaway bit, along with the ":money:" ;)
