Extending mortgage term and flex working app

Hi all,
I would like to extend my mortgage term to reduce monthly payments.

However, I am currently 2 months in to a 7 month trial for a 4/5 working week. Has anyone got any experience in this, i.e. will they just take the lower earnings amount?

The problem I have is that at the end of the trial it could be rejected so it's difficult to know what to tell them!

Thanks
Rob

  • I think 've answered my own question!

They require payslip, which shows salary as the lower amount, even though it's only a trial. So it looks like the contract is ignored and it's the 'trial amount' used.

Presumably the trial is because you asked for it and want to be working the lower hours pay longer term?

If that is the case then any application needs to be based on that income.

Is the application to reduce payments because you requested reduced pay?
