Hello
I've had my main account with Halifax for over 30 years. Would this have any weight in their mortgage decision, or does this play no part?
Thank you

no, but if you have had a negative history with them, it may count against you, potentially beyond 6 years

The only reason you'll need a current account with a mortgage provider is if it's a requirement of the mortgage product you want.
Otherwise it's completely irrelevant.0 -
You can find on an internal credit score an existing account relationship with a mortgage lender helps or hinders a mortgage application based on the conduct of the account.
How much this helps or hinders will depend on the lender, conduct etc.
Can the outside world anticipate the value/cost? No!I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
