    Unless basic arithmetic has changed in the last 40 years since i did it you go left to right to the equals sign.

    yes i think thats deliberate so its 5.

    Then using bodmas you do the x first

    i make the answer 70

    tree =5
    each wheel spoke = 1
    penguin = 3

    the final sum is therefore
    5 + (6x5) = 35 ( one present)

    so two presents is 70?
