Halifax “not as clear as they could have been” letter (sub account).

Hi
Wondered if anyone would like to give me their opinion before I make any calls to the Halifax.
I received a letter recently stating they had set up a sub account and when they did this they weren’t as clear as they could have been on one or more sub accounts.
The term sold was longer and therefore cheaper monthly but resulted in the amount owed not reducing as quickly and so we payed more interest(standard).
“Because we didn’t make you aware of the remaining terms of your sub accounts when you took out additional borrowing,we're making a payment to you”(£35).
I wonder where the £35 figure comes from?
Anyone had similar ?
Thanks in advance

its the sort of figure that is given out when there really hasn't been wrongdoing but they want to avoid unnecessary FOS fees because there will bound to be some serial moaner that will go to the FOS to try and get more.0 -
