Hi all,
Anyone use an app called ‘Discord’ which is totally free to use , and its a app where everyone can voice talk.
The only reason I am asking and recommending this app is because I want to talk over my money problems with people on here that are more experienced with debt and money matters.
I am not too good I don’t think at putting my point across via writing.
I also thought it would be an excellent idea for other users on the app to get chatting, and help each other out :-) :money:

the best way by far to talk though issues around debt and money with total strangers is to do this on an open forum such as this where - if someone decides to give you false information, whether accidentally or maliciously - someone else will pick up on it and correct that misinformation. it also means that others can learn from your situation - indeed there are many people on here who have never had threads of their own, but have still used information they have found on the forums to help their situation.
The first stage for looking into the right steps for an individual on debt is to fill in an SOA (Statement of Affairs) - the link for this can be found in my signature. No skill with words needed - it's just about entering information, then "format for MSE" and post into this thread and people will be able to evaluate, and make suggestions.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I second the above - there is nothing to stop anyone using the app to scam people with false promises of fixing their situation and profiting from other peoples' misery.
One to avoid, I think.0 -
Nobody is stopping you making your own finance Discord server, but I definitely won't be joining.
I think forums are the best for this type of communication, as it is mush easier to search old topics for if you are googling a problem.0 -
There is a lot less risk of someone misunderstanding things if it's down in black and white, too.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
