HELP! Childs MP3 Player needed

Help......
I am looking forward a good, easy to use MP3 player for my 5 Year old for either birthday, in a weeks time or Christmas.
I would prefer it with the over the head earphones and not the in the ear headphones.
I did a search ages ago and found from reviews etc that this was the best
Maxfield MAX-JOY MP3/WMA-USB-Player 256 MB with SD Slot
on Amazon here

but it is out of stock, has been for a while and can't find it anyway.
Can anyone suggest another good alternative?
I have bought the Fisher Price one but not sure whether it is too young for him. He is not bothered about having stories on it. He loves normal music not children's music so don't want one that restricts me to downloading from a certain site.
I think the IPOD shuffle will be too grown up and difficult to use for him.
I am going slightly mad now because I have been looking for ages and it is driving me mad:mad: (plus I am rubbish at making a decision:D )

I saw that one,(and he absolutely loves spiderman) but it has the headphones that go into the ear and not over the head, resting on the ear ones.
The ones in the ear don't stop in and fall out:eek:

I bought a set of headphones (over the head ones) for my daughter from a £1 shop and they work great in her dvd player in the car, could you do the same for an mp3 player?0

Checkout the supermarkets for relatively cheap "normal" MP3 players. Most have a simple 3.5mm phono socket which means you can grab a cheap pair of headphones from virtually any poundshop. I actually use some that I got from Virgin Atlanctic the last time we flew with them.0

Technically headphones may come with either a 2.5mm, 3.5mm or 6.3mm plug on them.
However the vast majority of mp3 players use 3.5mm sockets and the vast majority of inexpensive headphones use the 3.5mm plugs.
So the chances are that you should be ok with any combination of mp3 player and headphones however it is easy to be certain as all players will state which size they use and all headphones state which plug they have.0 -

Had the one you were originally looking for from Play.com as above. Earphones are great for little ones and its very rugged. Works fine and sound is good too. You can also extend the memory if they need more. Pretty sure it has a volume inhibitor too so that it cant damage their ears.0 -
