The competition is giving one Lancashire community group or sports club the chance to win £500 to spend in The Mall, just in time for Christmas.

And entry couldn’t be simpler. People must choose a group they think is worthy of the prize and say why they think they should win in no more than 100 words.

Nominations can be made on behalf of any type of group, from scout or guide groups, to one of the many grassroots sports clubs across the region.


Or maybe a community centre deserves a nomination, or perhaps a knitting group that helps combat loneliness, or a mum and baby group - there really is no limit
To enter, either comment on The Mall or the Lancashire Telegraph’s social media posts, or email getintouch@nqnw.co.uk.

The competition will end on Wednesday December 11, with judging then taking place. Winners will be contacted via social media or e mail and the group can then go and spend the money in The Mall before December 21.

The £500 prize can be spent on whatever the group chooses, from Christmas presents for a children’s party, some supplies to decorate or improve their centre; or equipment for activities.
