I always buy the Christmas crackers for our family Xmas dinner but really don't want to this year: at least a fiver for plastic tat and a tissue paper crown that rips within seconds and the whole lot in the bin at the end! I agree make your own if you want crackers but if at a works party with commercial crackers, once pulled they are a great free source of ribbon and card. Will make next year's Christmas cards from this year's scavenging .
