    Pet microchipping, especially.

There's a list a mile long, most of which won't apply to the OP. The really important stuff is obvious - and they acknowledged it from the start. They just need to actually do it.

You may want to look at this list of people that need notifying when you move:

Water Board – OLD and NEW
Sewerage (if different) – OLD and NEW
    BT
    ....e.
    It's a good list.I'm sure there's more to add!

Google (duckduckgo) will throw up more lists of 'things to do when you move' for comparison.

Thank you to those offering genuine help and advice, we really appreciate it.

I am rather shocked and saddened by the harsh criticism and brutal judgement of others - shame on you.

The hole you've dug is self inflicted. Up to you to rectify the situation.

I do think OP is getting a rough ride here. The very first replies told them they've made a significant mistake. There's no benefit in flogging that point. Yes, it's up to them to rectify it, but they asked for advice on how to do that - let's keep it constructive.

Vehicle Registration Complete the relevant section on the reverse side or at the bottom of your registration document and send it in, or ring 0870 240 0010. Failure to notify DVLA could result in a fine of £1000.
I am surprised to see the old DVLA premium rate 0870 number still being circulated.
DVLA changed to using 03 numbers in 2009 - a decade ago.
The 0870 number has been out of use for the last ten years.

    Driver Enquiries changed from 0870 240 0009 to 0300 790 6801.
    Vehicle Enquiries changed from 0870 240 0010 to 0300 790 6802.

Don't be upset - none of these can remember being young or inexperienced.

The advice is good though, do the updating quickly then reapply after a few months. keep the same broker because they will all have to conform with the rules.
