Self employed mortgage

I am having terrible difficulty finding a new mortgage (home mover) because I became a director and 49% shareholder in January 2018. I only have 1 years company accounts in my name and my 2018/2019 self assessment hasn’t been submitted yet but I do take a PAYE salary as well as dividends so I don’t understand why I’m being faced with so many obstacles.

Can anyone help?

I agree with the above. You can submit it before the end of Jan. I did mine in May - organised for once!

If only I’d thought of that?! My accountant has only just registered me so I won’t have my overview until 2-3weeks hence the dilemma!

If you know the figures that will be submitted, just work on them for the time being. Salary and dividends for Ltd company directors with a single year accounts. There are some that will go on company profits but I don't think they get involved until you've got a 2nd year of company books

Start to finish for buying a house on the legal work takes about 3 months
Start to finish on a mortgage takes about 2 weeks.

Unless you are buying a house with a time dependant exchnage then it shouldn't slow anything down waiting a few weeks for the overview and tax calc
