Well, surely that depends if you actually tell the OR you are doing this, if you are just using the money you have already been allocated then its no issue.

Of course - but if the OP wants to include the costs in their SOA then its fine as long as there is some need for access to a vehicle.

I was working on the assumption the OP already had one in place, rather than just about to agree to one.

How are you paying for things? If you gat £300 food allowance, get it out in cash, spend £100 on food, £100 on clothes/shoes/other essentials and stash £100 for emergencies how is the OR going to know any different?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Indeed, I went on foreign holidays whilst in mine, the OR isnt going to know jack.
  • so if OR find out you spend some money on holidays, it can cause issues?
I always was under impression that is your responsibility how you using allowed money and there no need to cash out it to hide where you really spending.I can be on diet for a week so food will cost less 😁but never had an idea I have to hide it

No, I was just stressing the point. If you are given £400 a month to live on and you choose to spend that £400 each month by going to the casino and putting it all on black, nobody is going to know any different and to be honest nobody will care.

I dont want to shout but STOP WORRYING!!

Trust me, the ORs office are far too busy, and wouldnt give a stuff, to investigate if you spent £30 on a handbag rather than pay the water bill. Personal bankrupcies for a 5 figure sum at best are small fry to them.
  • thank you very much :)
yes, I can admit I’m overthinking and worrying :) and the reason of that is I did not know and wasn’t aware that allowances can be changed to lower during 3 years period. Yes, when income goes up- sure you have to pay more.

If you tell them, yes. I'll just leave that there and make no further comment.
