Christmas sun for solo traveller

I've been looking online for a sun holiday over xmas on a budget but unsure where to go as a solo traveller. Somewhere relaxing and with a bit of life but not a party location.

Separate flights (from Belfast or Dublin) and airbnb accommodation to Gran Canaria and Costa del Sol are around €100-€200 and €300-€500 respectively.

I'm not familiar with these places and haven't been away at Christmas before.

Would be grateful for any advice.

Definitely go to the Canary Islands, weather will be warmer and much more life at that time of year.

Daytime wont be the issue. It will be the evening time when it will be frankly cold.

I'd recommend the Canary Islands. Would tend to be our go to place for cheap winter sun.

We use Jet2 and airbnb.

They said Christmas Sun, typically the sun isn't up at night.
