NHS Back Pay

Hi All,
the NHS brought in a new pay scheme which meant all staff doing the same job would get the same pay no matter were they worked. I am still awaiting my "banding" into a pay bracket and when I do finally get this my pay will be backdated to October 2004!!! Is it unreasonable to expect interest on my back pay as it is not my fault the hospital I work for has not sorted this out yet. I have had no pay rise for 3 years pending my banding being agreed. Any ideas??

as a fellow nhs worker im also waiting for the same back pay, the people who have got it so far havnt got interest, but i agerr with you that we should get it. this afc is causing so many problems and bad feeling where i work, dont know if its the same for you.

I've replied to your identical thread to give you some ideas of what stage your afc job might be at. I've left the NHS now (I was made redundant and was VERY happy to escape!!) but AfC was a complete and utter !!!! up from the start. All the rubbish about everyone doing the same job getting the same salary was complete and utter bull and some hospitals are now opting out of AfC now they are a Foundation Trust. It cost the NHS a fortune and caused some real low morale.
