Had my OR meeting this morning

Hello everyone, I had my phone interview this morning and I have a couple of queries.
They won't allow me to carry on paying back the money I owe my Mum and dad each month and the money I owe my GF for cash I've borrowed, is there anyway I can appeal against this?
They wont allow me to pay half the costs on the car that's my GF's but I'm a named driver and use this car as much as she does, if its in her name can I really not add these costs to my monthly outgoings or should I appeal this too?
Thank you

Hi, you won't be allowed to pay your parents or your girlfriend back because it's seen as favouring creditors, your total debt will be added up and then any payments you can make will be split between all of the creditors, not just your immediate family.
In regard to your girlfriends car, that sounds tricky because it's not actually your asset, so in the or eyes it isn't your financial problem.
I'm not sure how you could get round adding these costs into your monthly budget unless they could be offset as "travelling costs"
I don't really know about appeals, someone who does will be along shortly i'm sure
hope that helps in some way
IanI had debts, my circumstances changed, I tried but couldn't pay them, I dealt with them in the best way I could.........

You don't owe your girl friend or parents the money any more because you are bankrupt.
Depending on your situation you may have a order to pay an amount each month and your parents or G/F may receive a percentage of this, although usually they won't get much.
You will be allowed reasonable expenses and a bit more on top. You are totally free to give some of this money to your parents/ g/f if you choose.
If you can demonstrate that you need to pay your g/f for using the car as there is no reasonable alternative public transport, then you may be able to negotiate a higher travellign expenses on your outgoings.
The OR has a responsibility to recover as much as possible for all your creditors. They cannot legally treat your parents or G/F preferentially to the other people and organisations you owe money to.

, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.0 -
Seconded. I understand how obliged you feel to repay them. The OR's "living allowance" is quite generous as you can include lots of things which you probably don't need to buy such as a monthly clothing allowance and holiday allowance so you should be able to find a bit spare to pay them.0
