Just can't see the point of lining their pockets any further they have had £1000s off me in the past

I assume the CC company as he's now edited to add the wording about interest?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

A specific credit card company who have caused my file to be trashed resulting in this situation. No doubt you won't approve but life was manageable when I could pay the cards as required then use the balance to pay hmrc. Both of these options are no longer possible. Cards cancelled and HMRC no longer accept credit card payments. Now I am being forced to default somewhere.0

It's not about approval, or otherwise. All we want to do on here is to help people find a way out of the situations they find themselves in, and offer support and help to assist them from finding themselves back in the same situation, or worse, in the future.
HMRC don't accept credit cards for the very reason that people find themselves in the situation that you have - your obligations to them should be paid from the money that you have earned on which it is liable, not using borrowed funds.
Two positives from this that further down the line you WILL see as positives eventually, albeit I get that you don't right now. a) You now have your finances straightened out in terms of setting aside tax & NI money from each lot of income and b) that the card company have cancelled your cards so you can't spend on them.
Next step them - is to put together your Statement of Affairs - SOA - so yo can see where you stand on a monthly basis going forwards. Remember it needs to reflect the way things are right now - so what you are actually spending in each area. (And yes, that includes things like prescription charges!) - as offered previously, if you want to post that in to this thread we can take a look, and make some suggestions.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ok thanks but why is it such a bad idea to try to convert an unsecured card debt at 30% that I cant afford to pay to a secured one at perhaps 2 to 3% on a mortgage that I can afford to pay and pay it off??0
-
And I believe they no longer accept CCs because they are not allowed to recharge the card fees like any other business I dont for one minute believe it is for any other reason like you suggest. They are not in the business of helping people out they just want their cash.0

If yo fail to pay your credit card bill, it's highly likely that the worst that will happen is that you will have a rough few years on the credit history front.
If you fail to pay your mortgage - and yes, I know you say you can afford to pay it, but that's right now - you're increasing liability for years into the future and you have no idea what that future might hold for you - then you can lose your - and your family's - home.
Better to actually tackle the causes of the problem and deal with the problems they have caused, than to put a sticking plaster over the top only to have the wound festering away underneath.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Which is fair enough - who covers the fees that they still get charged if you pay your tax bill on a CC?
Besides, it's surely very nearly 2 years since they stopped taking card payments - this was the case when I last paid a SA tax bill, now I think of it. This isn't a new thing.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Actually it is our cash. They are only collecting from you on behalf of the rest of us. And as responsible people we don't want you racking up 30% APR on a CC payment when it should have been set aside. As everyone knows there are two certainties in life - death and taxes.
If you'd like to pay less taxes, here is a list of countries where you can pay a lot more (France at 56%) and a lot less (Afghanistan at 12%). On balance I'd rather pay the taxes than move.

If you would like a view on where you can find the money you will need then try a SOA. Alternatively if you think your financial situation is beyond saving, then there are debt options that might be explored, though they will be limited if you are a homeowner.Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

I've never for one minute said I don't want to pay what I owe although I do object to being fleeced for interest at 30% when up against the wall.
It was Jan 18 when the card payment thing came in so we are talking about this years tax and a chunk of last years and yes, over 2 years of stress and banging my head against a brick wall to try and find away out of it before something drastic happens to my health. It had already seriously affected my mental health but I know I'm not the only one on that situation on here. And the house I want to remortgage is a rented out BTL with a long term Tennant who I am now forced to consider evicting in order to sell the house, a situation I have been trying to avoid0
