C2C - Refunding & Taking Money A Month Later

Hello!
I may be speaking for hundreds of others, C2C rail have taken money out of commuters accounts yesterday, some to the amount of hundreds. Apparently when we purchased tickets through their new (and God awful) machines in the last month, even though we checked our bank statements and the payments were pending through fine, at some stage the payments were refunded without our knowledge and now they have taken them all at once!
For example in my case, they have taken approx £20 from my account for two tickets, one from 13th Oct & one from 3 Nov! I understand that we are obviously paying for services used, but this refund without notice & removal of money from accounts without so much as an email to inform customers has left a lot of other folks in their overdraft with charges, etc. Their Customer Service has apparently been useless on the phone. May I please ask the best experts here (because you are!) where we all may stand with this?
Thanks in advance

If you were charged, refunded and then charged again, all in same amounts, I fail to see how you are out of pocket.
If anyone can show that this has caused them to be out of pocket, then deal with the C2C customer service by e-mail or in writing to explain it to them.0 -
May be a good idea to actually look at and review statements? For this particular episode, as said, no loss and no problem other than mild annoyance.0
