Gifted mortgage problem- solutions?

Thanks once more for the help.
I'm wondering how far back they will look. If the parents have had the money for over three months, the other daughters have had the money for over three months, and everyone is in employment, will bank statements going way back really be required?
I should say again, it's not like there's any dodgy dealing going on, it's just that I have some spare money I'm willing to give to help my partner, but because the banks are so concerned with money laundering they won't accept it, so I'm trying to find a way round the suspicion that has incorrectly been applied to my attempt to help out.0 -
Not merely a question of money laundering. The money effectively gives you a financial interest in the property.0

Thanks for last two replies.
Yes, it certainly does seem unduly complicated! The reason I'm looking at this is that it was supposedly no problem having a deposit from non-blood relative last time, only for it to fall through at very last moment. If the deposit had come from family all would have been well. This time I would like such problems to not occur.0 -
Previously I signed the letter stating it was a gift and I had no interest in the property. Still refused. Seems the only guaranteed way of having no problem is the parents giving the money. I actually won't have any interest in it, so it's not trying to scam the bank.0

Seems as if you caused your partner considerable problems already. The declined application will be recorded with

Haha yeah, I caused my partner considerable problems by helping her get a deposit for her home, which was then refused by the bank, despite me being told by advisor this would be fine- that's where we're at. I could've not helped her with deposit, meaning she couldn't try to buy somewhere, and all would be fine!0

It will be a lot easier now she has had this gift sitting in her account for months.
If it was not transferred why not?0 -

Well the bank will be whoever she goes with this time, I'm not sure who. There weren't a whole load of choices last time, as I recall. All was going smoothly until it was decided my deposit money was unacceptable. I'm wary of going down this route again as it was an absolute disaster, causing a lot of problems and money, whereas if her parents give the deposit money, all would be fine- I assume, anyway- it would've been fine last time. I realise nothing in this world is guaranteed to go smoothly though!0
