I feel so alone.

So I’m nearly £13,000 in debt from living a life I can’t really afford.
My partner has found out about it and isn’t really speaking to me (I probably deserve it). I feel like I haven’t got anyone I can talk to and I feel so alone.
I’ve started selling some stuff on eBay and taken on a 2nd job which should give me an extra income of £200 - £300 a month.
Has anyone else got an ideas on how to get some extra income please?

Hi I just wanted to say hi and it will get better. Have a look at the Old Style Forum which is full of good shared ideas.
Talk to your partner and let him know you could do this so much easier together.0 -
Hi,
Didn't want to read and run.
There is a lot of support on these boards, especially the DFW one. Please don't feel alone. My partner has found out about it and isn’t really speaking to me (I probably deserve it). I feel like I haven’t got anyone I can talk to and I feel so alone.
I think this probably a bit of shock and upset that you didn't talk to them about the problem. Give them time to digest it and you may find they will come round.
In the mean time, please post a Statement of Affairs, there's a link at the top of the forum somewhere, format it for MSE. The lovely people here will do what they can to see if you can make any savings anywhere.
You don't have a massive amount of debt and it is fixable so please don't worry.

I second PMO2 advice. Please dont feel alone, there is lots of us here in similar situations, and we all support each other.
It may well be once you have a plan to tackle your debt your partner may come around, I agree they are probably just in shock.
Ive subscribed to keep you company in your journey.

Just dropped by to give you some support and to say that are not alone in how you feel. The good thing is that you recognise you have the problem and am now acting to bust your debts. So many of us have gone through the same feelings of isolation as you are now. As already stated, your partner is likely just shocked and is not sure how to react. Get your SOA (Statement of Affairs) done and you will literally be bombarded with advice, guidance and support.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0
