Mortgage declined after offer received?

Once you receive the mortgage offer can it be declined? Or is it safe to assume you can proceed without this worry?

Only really if you:
Have committed fraud
Take loads more credit out
The solicitor notifies them of something that invalidates the offer such as a charge being held for a deposit, or problems with the property title0
