have been after one of these for ages, but not prepared to pay the £100 or so they are at Tesco; Aldi have them from Thursday (see https://www.aldi-stores.co.uk) at £49.99 - will be having one of those :beer:

Had a look and it seems to be a 'cooler' rather than a 'fridge' therefore I don't think it's worth as much as the fridge's!

It says 10degrees is the min temp

I believe the correct term for these is "Beer cooler / wine chiller" and not "fridge"

Having said that I got one just a month ago from Sainsburys.

These chillers are still everywhere, not sure if it helps but the manufacturer's website is www.huskyproducts.com (Husky Group) although they mainly deal with commercial refrigeration, you might get some good offers there..?

On the CONTRARY !
Best deals are frequently found after a promotion/sporting event and they are clearing stocks in ASDA, Sainsburys, Comet etc. hence my England "Three Lions" bargain from Sainsburys a couple of years ago (see above - £39.99 less a coupon worth £8 if I remember - or £8 worth of Nectar points)

In addition to the stores listed I can also add MATALAN having just bought a SECOND Husky a few days ago for ONLY £27.99 !!!!!!

What makes it even better is that it is the more expensive WINE CHILLER version - elegant Black, Silver door with a wine bottle logo on tinted glass and steel racks inside to hold 16 wine bottles safe and sound. Was on sale for £99.99 at Xmas.

Looks even more fantastic now that I've fitted a couple of blue LEDs inside for illumination purposes. Gives a subtle eerie glow to the bottles inside.

Just for information, there are two types of these coolers around, both appear very similiar - big cube, glass door. There is a big difference depending on your expected use. The cheaper ones tend to be thermoelectric - like the picnic coolboxes, they chill drinks but are not safe to keep food in as they cool relative to the surrounding temperature and not to an actual temperature (ie 5 C) This type is dear @ £50 and is only a good buy much cheaper (as some have posted above)

The other type actually contains a 'normal' fridge mechanism and are usually marked on the box 'food safe' they are generally more energy efficient too. You can tell this type if its got a big motor compressor visible around the back in the bottom. They usually have a large lump of space taken up inside at the back of the bottom shelf. This type is more expensive to produce but more useful (bulk food buying?) and its not a bargain but is good value at £50 or less.
