Timing and Affordability Conundrum

Relocater

Hi, I'm in a bit of a pickle and hoped someone could help
Me and my husband have found ourselves needing to move 3 hours away for his job. We have a mortgage with decent equity. The problem is that I am currently due our third child. (conceived before we knew about the move!) and his salary won't start until March. We've found the perfect property and could we take both our salarys into account Affordability would be no issue it's under the top budget by about 80k. However relocating 3 hours and maternity leave means mine probably won't get taken into account will it? I get 6 months full pay and 3 months mat pay. After this there's quite a few jobs I could do remotely or even locally taking a paycut would still meet Affordability for this house.
Is there any way to make this work?

Is your employer tied to that area? Are they a national company that could feasibly transfer you?
Mat leave isnt a real issue, There are plenty lenders that just take a personal declaration of your return date and your return hours. Its more the relocation that I would have an issue with if you were my client.
Are you actually leaving your job at the end of mat leave?0 -
Yes I'll have to leave as I work for a large Bank with no offices or branches where I'll be unfortunately. With my experience and qualifications there's quite a few routes I could go so I'm not worried about finding work it's just for the mortgage it's all a bit of a kerfuffle.0
