asking for mortgage offer extension

Hi,
Need some advice please.
Would it be possible to ask for mortgage offer extension?
I'm divorced and have been approved for remortgage in my own name. But my ex is being difficult and won't sign the TR1 even after I agreed to buy him out. I'm most likely have to take him to court for breach of consent order.
I'm worried the offer will expires by the time the problem sorted. I might not be able to get another offer even though my circumstances remain the same.
Please advise.
Many thanks.

Depends on the lender.
Some will allow an extension, some will do some further checks and then allow the extension, some will want a new application.

Natwest. I'm already with them. So basically just removing my ex from the joint name. The monthly payment and amount borrowed should remains the same. I'm on fixed rate.0
