Was it perhaps a sweet pide where the restaurant had made a variation on a usually savoury dish?
Pide is delicious, but it is very bread-y. This was more pastry.
I'm assuming you've looked here (with pictures) ?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Turkish_desserts
I hadn't, but I had a scroll through and it's none of these.

    Flaounas?

    A variation of Levantine flatbread?
Again neither, the only dairy element I could detect was butter rather than cream / cheese. And the nuts were the star, rather than the pastry.

Did you eat this at a restaurant, do they have a FB or web page?

Could you ask the restaurant? The receipt will have their name and Google may find you their website or email address.

    - Pip (Yes, I use Google translate...)
I did actually email the bakery straight after I ate the goodies, before the packaging was disposed of. That was days ago w/o response, so I thought I'd try here.

Tomorrow I'm going to have a go at making it, using puff pastry. It's my Mum's birthday and I shall surprise her with it rather than a cake. (I have a box of baclava in reserve should it not work out...!). Next time I go to London I will make a trip to TFC, as they have fantastic instore bakeries.

    Or a phone.

Well it tasted divine! It didn't have quite as much caramel on it though, just enough.

    Thanks everyone for helping here!
