1st Overpayment

Hi everyone
So I'm happy to say that yesterday i made my first overpayment of £100 towards my mortgage :j My goal is to reduce my 28 year mortgage to 11 (in time for my 50th birthday) so it's a bit target to try to hit but I'm committed.
The payment is a fraction in the big scheme of things but every little bit helps.
My mortgage is with Barclays and when i logged in today to check the balance, i noticed that the overpayment logged was about £81. I assume the daily interest has been deducted from this payment but it's still nice to see a credit
I dont really have the time to maintain a diary but just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who does write as it has inspired me in my journey. Keep writing and I'll keep reading

Congrats! I'm hoping to make my 2nd over-payment next month. I tend to save up and then make a 1 off payment each year or at least that's the plan, started last year with a relatively small OP.
