Advice on Allowances?

Hi All

Am attempting to build a budget to present to the OR in preparation for going bankrupt at the end of the month. Is their a reliable source of allowances for living expenses. I've downloaded the spreadsheet from the insolvency service website which is vague putting it mildly!

I am not out to max out the allowances but also don't want to put too little down either and end up in the situation where I am denying myself and family essential items. This is happening too much as it stands right now.

Thanks in advance
Don't worry it'll all work out in the end

  • As a quick aside I've found the following site: https://bankruptcyexpert.co.uk/how-to-go-bankrupt/bankruptcy-living-expenses-guide

But I am unsure how accurate the figures are.

The application now uses the figures from the Standard Financial Statement, which are top secret.

They cover: food & housekeeping; communications and leisure; personal costs

If you tell me how many adults/kids under 16/kids 16-18 and what figures you have for those sections I'll tell you how you are doing.

    They are pretty generous
  • Thanks for the reply. I'll get my figures up tomorrow evening as am about to go to bed. Too many late nights worrying about money and a chronic illness causing fatigue takes its toll out of you.
