So I recieved my payment dates and amounts I will receive my child maintenance. Who do I inform of these and what will I lose? Do I lose any of my income support or child tax credits? And will I have to pay more rent and council tax? This is NOT an issue as I dont mind paying anything I just need to work my monies out thanks in advance

No you won’t lose anything as they don’t take child maintenance into account as it’s not guaranteed payment. I told everywhere I could think might need to know once I received my assessment and payment information but they all said they didn’t need to know.0

It's a good idea to let the council know if you're in receipt of housing benefit, but they won't take it into account as it's not 'guaranteed income'. It's useful to let them know in case they have to check your bank statements and see regular deposits from your ex, it'll save questions later.0
