Sounds good but, in my view, the big factor that keeps Tesla as market leader is the supercharger network.  There does not seem to be anybody else, either independent or linked to a car manufacturer, tackling that element of the EV experience.

The Audi EV's do look absolutely lovely but, given the failure on charging network, the VAG EVs offer nothing that an MG5 doesn't.  My view that the best EV is Tesla and second-choice is the MG5 remains unchanged.

New York is making big strides with regard to RE generation and electric vehicles, so the move to buy BEV cars, plus the rest of the planned list, makes great sense.

Tesla is selling fleet of hundreds of Model 3 electric cars to New York City

The city of New York is currently proposing a contract to buy a fleet of Model 3 vehicles from Tesla.
It would create a fleet of hundreds of electric cars for the city.
This new proposed contract to buy a fleet of Tesla vehicles comes after Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a $75 million investment in electric vehicles just a few months ago.
The new announcement included several specific promises:
    • 300 electric vehicles to replace fossil fuel-powered models
    • 275 fast vehicle chargers
    • 20 portable vehicle chargers
    • 11 new solar charging carports
    • Three electric buses to replace diesel models
    • 78 electric ambulances
    • The city will retrofit 125 existing diesel-powered trucks to be electric-powered
It looks like the Tesla Model 3 fleet would help cover the first promise to replace 300 fossil fuel-powered vehicles with electric cars.

Tesla Model 3 named December’s most desirable car by auction group Aston Barclay

Aside from the Tesla, just one other EV made it on to the list – the Nissan Leaf.

There were also two hybrids in the top 20 in the form of the Toyota Prius, which won last month, and the Lexus CT.

An interesting perspective, but they ignore that the battery facility won't be producing until 2024 and won't be up to full volume until 2030.

My money is still on VWG as the main competition.

Tesla doubles down on system to prevent gas cars ‘ICEing’ Superchargers, integrates it in its app

In China, Tesla took an interesting approach to try to prevent ICEing a Supercharger.
In 2019, it started to deploy floor locking devices that pop up from the ground at some new Supercharging stations:

A fantastic idea !    Barrier would either need to be operated from an app or (particularly for contactless card versions) would need control panel at edge of bay.
