Sandy Munro (of Tesla tear-down fame) has a short piece on the actimoto on his youtube channel, they are going to be helping the company with manufacturing efficiency.
I'm not sure the acimoto isn't too big as it takes up the space of a car not a motor bike. A few years ago I said I thought there was a market for a cross between a C1 BMW hooded motorbike and a Piaggio three wheel (2 at front) moped with an electric motor so I am glad that someone has built one. I hope it is a success. The C1 bike in the UK was hamstrung by the fact that despite the seatbelts and safety frame the govt refused to let riders not wear a helmet, I suspect the actimoto may suffer the same difficulties.

To be fair, in our previous interactions your research seemed to be limited to using google. Im glad that now you are using the valuable resources of the EU sites for getting base information directly rather than others who wait 2-3 years for rehashes of PR spin or somebody on youtube to make a video about it.
The post I made about the EU RFC (sorry keep calling it an RFC but its not but thats the term I normally use) had over 270 odd replies from stakeholders when I waded through it. Thats businesses and countries applying for a green deal slush fund. In there if you will wade through all of them are pie in the sky applications, things that had been mothballed for various reasons and things which are never going to see the light of day but may lead to further research which will. The green deal could be a bit of a gold rush as far as green tech is concerned in a number of industries, with a lot of money magic'd up by the ECB for projects which would normally be unfeasible and inefficient. BEVs so far have been the 'easy' option. Its evolution, not revolution. My own 2007 diesel mpv is french and had an 'electricque' version based on a van and france specified anything used for the post service had to have an electric version for city use. Lead acid batteries but still at some point I can fit an electric drivetrain to it, find some newer batteries and continue on as normal, hence the spending the last few weeks replacing all the suspension etc, the stuff entropy normally kills a car with. People think electric cars started with Tesla but its just evolution. The Green deal gives the once in a lifetime opportunity for revolution, which really hasnt been funded for decades. As with other posts I also recommend researchgate for stuff you wont find on google (other research sites are available).<sarcasm filter temporarily off - sorry silverwhistle>
HiSorry Joe, that doesn't stack up at all .... are you confusing me with someone else??For clarity I neither have a conservatory or a cat so your sarcasm is totally wasted ... and there were all of us being led to believe that your background was in important logic based systems as opposed to comedy!!Anyway, regarding provision of sources, a little cursory research would suggest that unlike many who actually do provide links to supporting information sources, be they google or otherwise, your own track record seems to not comply with your own high standards or expectations, so less of the double standards could be well appreciated by quite a few others ... by the way, before making such wide sweeping statements regarding using EU source material, would it not be appropriate to ensure the validity of what you're posting before invoking the interface between fingers & keyboard as I'm pretty sure that the current score just based on the europa.eu linked material source site is:- ....zeupater 64 : joefizz ..... wait for it .... zero, nill, null, nothing .... so what about .gov.uk? ... zeupater 216 : joefizz 1 ... with even that one not being cutting edge research, but a simple NI query on MOTs back in 2013!, which pretty much says it all, so it may be a good idea to place the preacher's hat back in the sock draw & concentrate on posting relevant comments in relevant threads and differentiate between personal views & fact alongside providing relevant supporting material where necessary - isn't that the logical approach an engineer would adopt? ... maybe? ... well it would for anyone who would classify themselves as being either an engineer or solutions based professional that I've ever worked alongside, for or over - even the extremely few that paid inconsistent attention when referencing international system of units .... of course, your background would likely ensure that you'd be familiar with what happens when that error need be highlighted by one with appropriate position & experience, to the extent that even I'm aware of positions lost because of the downstream implications! Now, as a little aside, considering the conversation on this BEV thread has recently swayed towards HFCEVs and that interactions & research have been raised ... for some you may find that 'experience in researching the subject' is in no way limited to a cursory look at 'google', perhaps, for some, it was necessary on a professional basis for the likes of major international companies operating in the Automotive sector the early-mid-late 1990s ... then again, others may have experience in static FCs within high availability system contingency planning .... just saying - you'd be surprised what wealth of experience you could find lurking around in the dark dusty corners of sites such as these ... they may not be as common or self centred as some, but then again, that doesn't mean that they can't sit back and have a belly-laugh at some of the content provided in the guise of fact, not opinion ....Anyway, thank you for your indulgence & do keep up the research as it may one day help to close the gap!HTH -Z<sarcasm filter back on, normality resumed>"We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act, but a habit. So for inner city mobility, and deliveries (the single seater), and interest from tourist areas such as Florida for hiring out, I could see the potential. But still early days, they were planning to step up from 2/day to 3/day the very week C19 shut them down, and this stopped the planned 4/day push for May/June. So probably not yet profitable, but they have about 20yrs of orders still at 2/day. I'm sure Munro and Associates will give them loads of good advice now that they are stripping down their FUV.
Obviously I've criticised Nikola recently who also have lots of orders, but at least Arcimoto are delivering vehicles, whereas Nikola have sold less cars than Tesla have in space.Mart. Well, that's a nice surprise.
19× More Invested In EVs & EV Batteries In Europe Last Year Than In 2018
According to a Transport & Environment report, Europe poured €60 billion into EV production and EV battery production in 2019, a whopping 19 times more money than it put into them in 2018.
If those figures aren’t shocking enough, the following may do the trick: 3.5 times more money was put into EVs and EV batteries by corporations and governments in Europe than in China! Europe is the new China.

Got this in a couple of days ago.
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/fiido-d11-100km-cycling-urban-folding-ebike#/
Its not a recommendation but certainly worth a look for anyone looking for an ebike. I have the Fiido D2S and love it but prices have risen dramatically since I bought it and I would have originally considered the 38% discount price that they are offering to be about right normally...
Interesting design, bigger wheels than mine, no suspension but does look more like a 'bike' and the battery in the seat post removeable for charging is a good quirk (although would budget at some point to replace that connector cable).
Ive no need of a 2nd one but was still tempted but the lack of suspension and quite frankly the issues around the three gorges dam at the minute put me off (already have a consignment sitting in a train in china for a week already).
The takeup hasnt been what I would have expected plus I prefer the old, I pay for it, you deliver it within a week scenario than the indigogo version but DYOR etc.

Extract from this week's Carbon Commentary Newsletter:5, Impact of electric cars on emissions. About 10% of the stock of Norwegian cars are electric and the impact on the sales of liquid fuels is growing. (Across the world, electric cars will probably reach 1% of the fleet by the end of 2020). The last three years have seen reductions in car fuel consumption of around 330 million litres, cutting emissions by about 0.75m tonnes, or about 1.5% of Norway's total emissions. Falling fuel use by cars will mean that Norway will probably hit its 2020 CO2 targets, the first time this has ever been achieved.Mart. A whole raft of BEV articles from CT, first the 'small' stuff:
BMW Considering (Gasp!) A Dedicated Electric Vehicle Chassis
Yes, folks, it’s official. People inside the time warp known as BMW headquarters in Munich are thinking way, way outside the box and saying the company should consider building a dedicated electric car platform! Be still, my beating heart. Has the whole world gone mad with this electric car fever? The answer, apparently, is yes.Lordstown Motors Takes The Wraps Off Its Endurance Electric Pickup Truck
The Lordstown Endurance is an American-made all-electric pickup truck with 4 in-wheel motors that use technology licensed from Elaphe, 600 horsepower, a stump-pulling maximum torque of 4,400 ft-lbs, and a range of 250 miles. If it looks pretty much like a standard pickup truck, that’s by design.7 Bonus Electric Car & SUV News Stories
Continuing our series of end-of-month news roundups, below are seven electric car and electric SUV stories that no authors picked up but still seem worth mentioning.

And now the big stuff, starting with some seriously powerful wireless charging:
Washington Transit Agency Getting 10 Electric Buses & Wireless Charging
A few days ago, I wrote an article titled “High-Powered Wireless EV Charging — Is It Finally Time?” The article centered around the news that Jaguar I-PACE electric taxis in Oslo, Norway, would be using Momentum Dynamics wireless charging tech to potentially keep the taxis in service 24/7. We also have news this week of 10 new BYD electric buses headed to Link Transit in Wenatchee, Washington, and being equipped with Momentum Dynamics wireless charging tech.7 Bonus Electric Bus & Truck News Stories
