Revise Santander mortgage offer

Hello,

Seller just before exchange has tried tome the goal posts regarding the price we agreed.

Nothing wrong with the house they have decided 36hrs before exchange they want to move the post 6k from a 180k house sale meaning 174k

They have a mortgage offer with santander but if we were to accept how long would it take for santander to edit the current offer to a price lower by 6k

probably 2 or 3 days and then another few days to get the offer to the solicitor. Probably a week or 2 delay

Agent said roughly 2 weeks but to be honest I've fallen out of trusting them now. Like my other post says they came back today and came back up 2k so meaning only 4k down but its the process of revising offers etc how do i know they won't do this again.

Well I've proposed a 1500 discount
Meaning if they accept they will have to get the offer revised, i would like to think its relatively easy and straight forward but we will know tomorrow.

He is not happy with the proposed 1500 discount but is at 2000 meaning he has come up 4k since last week

I came down 1500 even tho the property has not changed one but but he's like playing a bloody game
