Help to Buy equity mortgages

Options
Hi,

I have been doing some reading on H2B, mortagages etc.
HSBC said they do not off
fer mortgages to H2B customers.

- Is there a list of banks that offer mortgages to H2B equity loan?
- Would the interest rates be same as 75% LTV?

Thank you.

HSBC doesn't offer shared equity products.

I don't know of a public list, check the HTB website.

No. Most lenders have specialist products for HTB not just their standard 75% LTV deals.

We’ve just been offered a mortgage with NatWest using HTB, I know Nationwide do too.
  • You are right about HSBC not offering HTB mortgages but Natwest, Natiowide and Halifax do.

H2B is an area where it is smart to use a Broker. otherwise, there are many ways to be 'tripped up'.

  • Halifax seem to best for FTB using HTB. It's who I used and the process was seemless and when I spoke to a Mortgage Broker they also suggested Halifax (The process was so simple and just wasn't worth using a Mortgage Broker)

... as long as you aren't too bothered about the rates and you aren't an FTB wanting a two year fix on HTB Equity Loan as there are none upto 75%.
