I'm not sure if I've understood the monthly challenge. If I don't ask I won't, so here goes. I'll wait and see if Marg2k8 says yeah or nay to the following:

    Prize: Blu-ray & DVD
Resolution: Spend more time with family and friends. Declutter.
I spend time watching and discussing DVD/blu-ray with family and friends. It encourages us to watch different genres and learn new things. I declutter DVD/Blu-ray every now and again by recycling them thus supporting my local high street.

    Prize: Cash
    Resolution: Save money

    Prize: Bath time gift set
    Resolution: Take care of yourself

If you can honestly say that those were your new year resolutions (not just what some random person somewhere may have decided on as their resolution), then I am happy to allow them. Are these three prizes you have won, or three competitions you have posted?

You have to post comps or win comps somehow connected with the words NEW, Year or RESOLUTION to earn points ;)

You claimed your win on the basis that it had broken your new year resolution, so if these prizes are linked to aspella's new year's resolution, then I think that is fair. :p

At the end of the day, the whole point of my monthly challenges will be to encourage a bit of creative thinking and for us to enjoy a bit of [STRIKE]banter[/STRIKE] competitive discussion.

A win arrived today, although very baffled as to where it came from.
It is Balneum dry skin and itch relief lotion 200ml - I'm sure it is great for your elbows or my sister who is allergic to most creams but this doesn't have a specific ingredient and she gets awful eczema, so I can see if she would like it but where it came from, I don't know! If you have an idea please feel free to share. :p
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

There was this one on Mumsnet and if you follow the link to the Mumsnet page, there was the opportunity to sign up for a free sample. Perhaps you signed up for the freebie,

I popped out today and whilst I was out, the postie left a red card. I'm waiting on a couple of prizes, but don't count my wins until they are actually in my hands, so it might be one of those.

Thanks but I don't think so as I haven't ticked it. Mystery!

I got that Balneum lotion too - bit odd as it was addressed 'to occupier' rather than my name

I'm late to Januarys' challenge but I've won a stationery kit that was listed as 'perfect timing to get yourself organised for the new year, make plans and set goals in style'

I'll get my shin pads to enter the scrum!

Also won some shoes, (selling for £130:eek: I've never spent that much on shoes before :D )

    pleased with January so far
