Can anyone recommend, where I can buy big amounts of any kind of seeds (for baking and snacking), also big amounts of Herbs (I am using lots of Oregano and Basil) and big bags of lentils etc?

Thanks a lot

  • My first instinct would be Suma. If you order enough (and can store it) then you'd get it at wholesale prices. :)

    www.suma.co.uk

P.S You can always get some friends together and create a larger order that way.
  • I'm not sure about lentils and seeds, but if you know anyone with a Costco card they sell large containers of dried herbs.

  • chinese / asian supermarkets for herbs and spices, farrrr cheaper than tescos etc.
  • Take a look at this older thread Where to buy herbs in bulk

I but mine from larger Tesco and Asian grocers.

  • You don't say where you are based. Unicorn which is a local co-op in Chorlton, Manchester sell lentils and seeds in big bags. I think you can buy 5kg at a time of sunflower seeds etc.

  • Our local Holland and Barrett have fairly regular offers on seeds at half price etc - they're often advertised in the window.
