Reasonably priced yet reliable online place to replace a glasses lens

I did exactly that. But frames looked really low quality and did not look well on my face.

How long ago was that? They have some really nice ones recently; mine have spring hinges and haven't bent or warped at all so far despite needing to spend a lot of time laying down.

(I got glasses and sunglasses for about £50 when MSE were doing a code - no coatings because the intention was to tide me over until I'm comfortable going to get an up-to-date eye test, but I think they would have been worth paying extra if they were intended to be my glasses for the next couple of years.)

One thing to consider with getting a lens replaced, and many people don't, is can you do without your glasses in the mean time? Every optical company is struggling with manufacturing times at the moment due to covid - lens manufactures are not operating at normal levels so longer lead times across all businesses (independant, high street or online). It may be worth considering getting a cheap pair online and then getting your good pair reglazed. Then at least you would not be without, personally i could deal with a cracked lens better than sending my glasses away - whithout my glasses i cant see the tv, so driving to work, working or just general life would be impossible. At least if you ordered a cheap pair you would have somthing to be using while the new lens was being fitted, and a spare pair for the future or if you needed to wear a pair in where your glasses are more at risk e.g. diy or decorating.
