Will our semi detached property be classed as a terraced!!??

Hi, we live in a semi detached property and our adjoining neighbours have put a planning application through to join their property to the semi next door to them, it's a joint venture between them both. Still 2 seperate homes internally but will have a flat roof 2 storey extension joining the 2 buildings together.
My question is, will this make our house an end terraced property, ultimately will it de-value our home?
Please help, we are looking to sell next year and don't want this to reduce the value of our property that we've worked so hard over the last 13 years to renovate.

How about feeling happy for your neighbours?0

Arklight, we do and think it's a fantastic idea for them it will look great, we have no problem with the extension itself. We're just worried it may de value our property0

Worse case seen as an ‘end terrace’? I my mind the same as a semi. Ask a local estate agent for an opinion? The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.

IMO it would be an end terrace (small) as your house would be fully connected to 2 more houses which have no boundary between them.
However, I'd take some expert advice and not rely on peoples opinions on an internet forum0 -
Structurally it's still a semi.
Land Registry will have it as a semi.
Only a potential buyer might sneer and think "end of terrace", you will never know if the one/s that walk might've become its new owner if it'd presented visually as a semi.
It's really all about how it all looks, space, price differentials/perceptions between a semi and an End of Terrace.
Your house will still have the attributes of a semi, which tend to have larger plots, side drive, more spacious garden etc.
It will put some off, it'd put you off.
It won't put others off, it'd not put me off.0 -
This query is everything that's wrong with the British attitude to housing.0

i'd be stunned if any would-be buyer of your place were to ever give a damn about this work being done.FACT.0
