So, payday for both of us arrived, some bills cleared, others not and we are back in the red for the foreseeable.  I'm not sleeping, DH is working from home as his company is insisting he is a key worker, so rather than being furloughed (and being on hand to sort out the house, garden, small holding, dogs and children with me), he is demanding near silence so he can make numerous (and IMHO pointless) phone calls and have video meetings with the other managers.

This is making home schooling next to impossible as he is using the PC and printer and although the boys have tablets, it's hard to teach two children 3 years apart on small screens.  Plus, I'm certainly not any good as a teacher and my mood us getting worse as each day progresses.

The loan company are trying to organise a "drive-by" valuation in our house as obviously no-one is entering houses for full surveys, but I haven't heard if they've been able to arrange this yet.  I'm trying to remain positive as I know that we have so much in comparison to many, but I just can't see things getting any better in the next 3-6 months at least.  As a self-employed person, I'll have to wait until June for any assistance from the Government,  by which time I think I may have had a breakdown

    Rant over.

Sorry you are still having such a rough time. Did you get any help from the doctor in the end? Are there any counselling services you could talk to or friends you could reach out to by phone? With the kids - you can only do what you can. Take some of that pressure off yourself. Kids are resilient they can catch up later.

Re  the home schooling, there are educational sites that are allowing free access to parents and children during the current situation.  Depending on the age of your children, www.phonicsplay.co.uk is a good site for interactive games that practise various sounds. Once the child knew what to do you could leave them to work alone. Similarly Sumdog has maths and spelling activities. If you have access to a printer www.twinkl.co.uk do lots of printable resources including home learning packs designed for each year group.

There was a quote from a headmaster on the BBC news page basically saying that if you are working from home, just do what you can,  and not to try to be a superhero. Quite reassuring!
