Ok, it's obviously got an extension, which I suspect is of different construction to the original house. But as both parts are fairly substantial it probably doesn't make much difference.

The broker says that a reduction in price is fairly reasonable but we have to wait to have the full survey with us.

I feel bad for the vendors but we could be in their place in a few years, so we'd rather protect our investment as best as we can from any possible future risk.
