Persanal Allowance - Role Change

Hi,

I recently took early retirement from a full time job but am employed by the same company on a casual hourly paid basis. The new role should see me under the personal allowance for income tax purposes.

Will I still be paying income tax at 20% until April 2020 given I was in full time employment April-August 2019?

Getting a small pension. Didn't claim a tax fund. Don't claim benefits.

I've earned more than the personal allowance from April 2019-August. 2019. Will I pay thus 20% income tax on the rest of earnings 2019-20, though I will earn less than the personal allowance pro rata until April 20.

Your pension and employment is taxable income, how much you pay will depend on how much you receive and how much you received in your previous employment. You are generally allowed to earn £1042 per month on a cumulative 1/12 basis before you pay tax but personal circumstances will differ. Not enough information provided to give a full answer.
