Trusted Mortgage Claims incorrect interest paid

Hi, I followed a Facebook link to Trusted Mortgage Claims who say they will investigate incorrect payments on interest only mortgages. As I have a few interest only buy to let mortgages I was interested.

Having looked at there trusted pilot reviews the majority refer to contact with one person (Farhan Safdar). Having now been asked to provide certified ID for my wife and myself I thought I should ask forum members if they have had any contact and success with this company. It’s beginning to feel like a scam so thought I would do some checks before sending them any personal information.

Thanks in advance.

They're pretty much all scams. They'll ask to pay for an expensive insurance policy for a few hundred pounds to cover legal fees in case they/you get prosecuted for a fraudulent complaint or to cover their costs.

It's highly unlikely your interest has been miscalculated, but if you think you have been, simply check with your mortgage provider.

99% of those TrustPilot reviews are obviously paid for fake reviews. The 1% that are not, are from people who have heard nothing back, as there is no claim to be made.
All these people do has been said above. They also submit a Subject Access Request so they have access to every piece of information on your mortgage file. One can only imagine what is done with this information!
"May 2019 - We may also need to share some personal data with other parties, such as potential buyers of some or all of our business or during a re-structuring. Usually information will be anonymised, but this may not always be possible. The recipient of the information will be bound by confidentiality obligations.
Where your personal data is held
Information may be held at our offices, third party agencies, service providers, representatives and agents as described above (see ‘Who we share your personal data with’).
Some of these third parties may be based outside the European Economic Area"
Good luck with some of that! Expect countless phone calls and emails for years to come!
Whatever information you put on their website, it will tell you that you have a claim to make.
"TO FIND OUT IF YOU MATY (sic) BE ABLE TO CLAIM, YOU WILL ONLY NEED THREE THINGS"
"you can still calim (sic) if:" If this is the professionalism of the website, then perhaps Farhan should spend some time looking at that, rather than pushing all the TrustPilot reviews.
It frustrates the heck out of me that they can get away with this which is why I am posting here in the hope that at least a few people read it!
Finally, The owner is the owner of Elite Chambers. Take a look at the Elite Chambers website and then take a look at Google Street View of the registered office address. This may also help to paint a picture of who you are giving all your information to.
I work in Data Protection and spend my days dealing with CMC's. Only here trying to help!!
  • Thanks for this. Elite Chambers don’t appear to have luxurious offices. As already posted I won’t be providing any info to this company. Interestingly I emailed them a few days ago to say I was a bit sceptical and have heard nothing back. That tells a story in itself.

    I followed a Facebook link

    Well THERE'S your problem
    Just don't do that again.
    Seriously.
Must be the second biggest route into scams after following a google search.
  • I've been searching for info on this company too. I seen the Trust Pilot reviews and thought they were legit but something didnt quite feel right.
