Restriction on home advice

Hi,

Around 2005 I defaulted on an unsecured loan which subsequently ended up with a restriction being placed on my house by the original creditor.
This was around 2006.

In 2007 the original creditor sold the debt to a debt collection company and I would like to ask if the restriction is still valid as the named creditor no longer owns the debt.

Any advice on this appreciated and also how to remove the restriction if it is valid or not.

Thanks

Nic

I take it you mean it was secured on the house ?

Should be on the land registry website.

At a guess, to get it removed the debt would need to be repaid or sell the property which will clear the loan and you get whats left.
