I believe I picked up some Under Armour cheap on eBay last year or I just made do as I sacked off the running come February anyway, my bad.

This year thanks to weight gain I had to replace all my training gear when I started running again, largely Under Armour via eBay and Amazon. I can't help it; it washes brilliantly, wears well and does the job comfortably. I have started adding some RBX tops from TK Maxx and so far so good, so I might try their bottoms the next time I need some. Inov8 waterproofs - jacket used on eBay (clearly made for a 6ft tall woman - I have to roll the sleeves up, but it covers my backside perfectly!) and the trousers new on sale from an independent. At least when I lose the weight, I've got all my old gear to go back to and can sell the larger stuff on.

Also needed two pairs of shoes - Salomon Speedcross 5 barely worn on FB Marketplace (£38 as opposed to £150 new) and a brand new pair of Brooks (+ gait analysis) for £60 instead of £120 using Vitality discount at Runners Need.

The thing that stung the most actually was a Strava subscription; since the last time I was subscribed, they've put a lot more of the functionality behind a paywall which is frustrating as I like the stats and my Garmin doesn't do things like segments.

I used to go to sportdirect for running gear, but lately I've been getting alot from H&M. Their sportsware range is good quality and not super expensive. Recently got a warm but very lightweight fleece top from there which is great for running in the cold.
  • I’d second (or third) decathlon.  I bought two thermal long sleeved tops and a pair of thermal leggings for about £30 and they are great. Also, SportsShoes.com have great sales and are the cheapest I’ve found for branded gear.
