Any suggestions for restaurants in SE London for xmas lunch?

Options
Hi there,

I would really appreciate any suggestions on restaurants in South East London, Kent, Surrey that would be really good for Xmas Lunch?

It would be for my partner and myself and we not fussy eaters, though would prefer traditional xmas lunch. Price wise we dont mind either.

Any ideas? :o

had kids with them and they all had a great time.
  • Thanks annie123, the selsdon park hotel is not very far from where we are and looks lovely. And the city cruise is a great idea, never thought of having xmas lunch on the thames.

    Thanks for that!

let us know if you struggle to find a table free.
hope you have a fab time.
  • Cheers annie!

Ive also had a look at the Leftbank restaurant in Egham, Surrey. It has a few good reviews on restaurant guides, and is set right by the river thames. Looks really nice, set menu looks good, and prices quite inexpensive, though it is about 50 miles from where we are! Have u or anyone ever heard of this restaurant and if its any good or not?

yep been there, used to live nearby, nice setting, good food, bit pricey DH thought for the ambiance. never been at xmas.
  • wow really, youve been there? whats the chances of that! :T

as usual, the bf left up to me to organise, and i bet u my last rolo, he's gonna have issues with whatever one i decide to go with. I really fancy the cruise, but i know he wont. So might ring up the Leftbank tomorrow, the set menu is priced at about £29 pp and got a good choice of dishes too. Fingers crossed they still taking bookings.

Thanks again for all ur help annie123, ur a star x ;)

Used to live in Hampton wick, egham and staines. DH lived in kingston, and virginia water.

Why did we leave the area? cant afford to move back now!
must have been the right decision at the time.

I know the Leftbank is a long way from you but you could check it out first make sure you like it etc etc and double it up with a trip to Kingston for shopping.
Dont park in the car parks, queues are scarey, plenty of back streets for free parking within a ten min walk.

Great place to shop if you have not been there before and some of the best pub food around for lunch on the Thames.:D

    good luck
