I’m not the Queen of Sheba

I have to start living within my means. I started today. Low spend in that I just spent £10.15 in Lidl.
Walked the dog and tidied the house. Looked at my finances and note that my debts have risen to £25k approx. While this is bad, it’s manageable at this stage and I need to get it sorted before it isn’t manageable. Plus I’d like to stop losing all my income to debt repayments!
Anyway. Day 1 completed.

Welcome to the boards.
Good luck on your journey x0 -
Ach, my Mum always said to us (after we asked for something that cost money)... who do you think I am? The Queen of Sheba?, sometimes it was the Baron de Rothschild too.
Welcome and good luck.Whatever0 -
Thanks for the welcome. I have organised my finances a bit this week and moved some debts to 0% card and arranged a money transfer to clear my overdraft. Hope this was the right thing to do. Anyway, I've done it now. I think it will be easier to budget when not in minus figures all the time. Grocery budget £100 per week. Using cash and saving the remainder if there is any. So far so good but doing all my shopping in lidle.
Need to make a note of all debts and 0% period and figure out a priority order of paying them off.:heart2:I have a child with autism.:heart2:0 -
Well done on the money juggling and if you feel that the transfer was right then I'm sure you wouldn't have done it lightly.
Onwards and upwards
