About 7 or maybe 8 years ago, I opened a Very account. Its important to remeber that i never actually ever used it. Even once. In fact i completely forgot about it. Including the log in details (including losing access to the registered emaill account). Anyway, today i decided i wanted to purachase a dashcam from very on their credit account due to getting £10 off and £30 cash back. I had trouble opening an account (forgotten i had already had one) rang up customer services and they reminded me that i had an account but due to inactivity it was closed feb 2019 and after much being put on hold, i was told i would have to wait 12 months to open a new account. I can't even say its down to my credit history as we didnt even get as far as that in the application proccess this time around. I have never known a company to do this. I do want to putchase from them...is there a reason why i have to wait ? Chap on the phone was about as much help as a watering can at a building fire.

probably a standard practice to prevent closing accounts to open new ones for new customer offers.0
