National insurance paid twice?

Good morning,
I work for an agency, who use a third party company to do wages.
I have received my first payslip today, but they have taken national insurance twice,
Once before tax & again after tax. I have contacted them but they said this is normal, I can claim it back.? Just wanted to ask all you informed people if this is actually right.
THey also charge me £15 a week fees.
How is this legal.
Any info would be gratefully received.

Are you working under an umbrella company?0

Umbrella companies/agencies commonly take both employee and employer NIC out of your hourly/day rate. It would have been in the terms and conditions of the contract you signed between you and the agency/umbrella. Perfectly legal and standard practice. No you can't claim it back from anyone.0
