there must be some way of bringing this site to the attention of older people, who are very under-represented - and who are often v much in need of money saving tips! Even allowing for the relatively fewer internet users in those over 65, the nos are disproportionately small.

Is this the time for a discussion of "average", the difference between mean, mode and median.

Obviously the average user is male with a very low testosterone count ( and there was I thinking the forum was full of bored/penniless female divorcees:D).

As the survey is self selecting, perhaps women avoid boring statistical stuff or are more secretive/better at lying?

Do pensioner women (1) give up saving money, (2) Not like talking to strangers (for fear of being beaten up?) (3) Can't get to grips with this digital age.

    Harry,

  • Oh, I can still squeeeeeze into Male 25 - 34!!! 1 month to go and counting though...:D
