Alternative Mince Pies

Im a bit of a lurker on these forums but the threads in this particular area have really got my creative juices going. :j
I dont like mincemeat, christmas pudding or cake so miss out on that side of christmas. :( So I was wondering if anyone had any recipes for alternative mince pies.
Im also trying to make a booze free christmas cake and was wondering when I could start making it. This is my first year attempting cooking some of the christmas food and I seem to be lost in hundreds of recipes.

Many thanks in advance. :D

  • A mince pie is mince meat in a pastry case, anything else in a pastry case becomes a different pie. Eg put apple in a pastry case it becomes an apple pie.

On a more helpful note, why don't you try using other 'Christmas Flavours' maybe something with a bit of nutmeg or cinnamon, I like a bit of zest in my mince pies. Try and get some inspiration from looking round the shops' Christmas lines, pear halves in brandy for example, lol!
