OK, so....

This site says I last visited in September 2009, which seems about right! Incredible to think how many diaries must have come and gone in that time, how many people will have gone from drowning in debt to debt free (and possibly - but hopefully not - back again), how many connections made, and how much people must have gained from this site in the time since I last visited! What a powerful vehicle for change.....

So, as I've been browsing these pages in the last few days and seen some familiar names from all that time ago, I thought it might now be time for me to dip a toe back into the MSE waters. A decade ago, I had a debt free diary here, called something like "So here's to you, Mrs R". I'm not linking to it here (if it even still exists!), because life for me is very different these days and I think I'd feel uncomfortable to read it (kind of like snooping on my old life, somehow).

Suffice to say, I am no longer Mrs R (well, I am, but not in the married sense, having divorced 4 years ago), life has moved on, naturally, and along with it, my financial status and priorities. The purpose of this new thread, then, is to document me dealing with a relatively modest amount of debt, posting here regularly for motivation as I do so, learning from and hopefully supporting others trying to do the same.

Rather than a massively long post at the outset, I'll try to pop back later to introduce the cast of characters in my life now, where I am financially, and what my goals are this time round.

Looking forward to sharing and the sense of focus this diary will bring as we edge towards 2020....
