Sorry me again...


So our mortgage is in my partners name, everything is supposedly fine and a offer is imminent... But theyve just asked for my date of birth, which is weird as its nothing to do with me, broker said its fine it wont affect the application offer its just because my name is also on our electoral roll, is this normal?

    Presumably you are connected to the applicant in some way. Not just a lodger.
  • If you are planning to live there the mortgage company will want to know about you. Partners can have a claim on a joint home in certain circumstances.
  • Yeah hes my partner, i dont work so we didnt do a joint mortgage so was just confused why they would need my details thanks

    They need to put you down as an additional occupier. They need all details of anyone over 17 who isnt named on the mortgage. Broker should have given them this on application

    It is standard practice for anyone age 17 or over who's not going to be party to the mortgage to sign the form.
