info on bankrupt?

Someone close to me has had a fair few problems recently, which i dont really want to go into, and as a result has declaired himself bankrupt

is there a way to find out the extent of the bankruptcy at all or is this all between the person, and the courts?

Sorry for lack of details, but there are quite a few issues involved I dont really want to post about in public

Had a quick Google and it seems that bankruptcy records are public records and therefore available for anyone to see. From Google, there were some sites that may help and some informative ones. If you Google "bankruptcy public records" hopefully you will find one of the results gives you what you need.

Thanks for the post, but I couldnt find anything usefull, just alot of companies doing people searchs, as well as debt managmenet plans for bankrupts ill keep trying though

The link below seems to give a summary of dates and limited information (I searched on a name of someone I know who went bankrupt!). Might be a good starting point though?
